GippSport Streetgames is for players of all skill levels.
Our games are generally pretty short and sweet (2-15 minutes each depending on game type), we usually have one main game happening, but we also have heaps of smaller sidegames such as spikeball and badminton if you’re not much of a people-person, or you’re still getting comfortable with the group. While some of our players love competition, we totally get that many don’t, so how you play is totally up to you. We try to balance some competitive main games and some cooperative or “just for fun” ones. Come and chat to our staff if you have any concerns or questions, or want to do something a bit different and we’ll always do our best to accommodate. We love to hear your feedback!
3 on 3 basketball
As the name suggests, 3 on 3 basketball is played three a side using a half court; it is currently the largest urban sport in the world! Each game is played to 21 points or 15 minutes, whichever comes first.
Streetsoccer
Streetsoccer is a lot like regular soccer, except it loves to improvise! You’ll find streetsoccer played anywhere, goals are made from anything, and it’s a LOT of fun.
Skate and Scootering
Skate and Scootering involve the art of trying to balance, ride, and land tricks on a skateboard or scooter. It’s often done freestyle, but lots of people compete across Australia and the world.
Dodgeball
Dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge. Dodgeball is a game almost everyone grew up playing in PE class. Split into two teams, they race to grab a bunch of soft balls from the centre line, then it’s all on to see who can avoid being hit! Last team standing wins.
Spikeball
Spikeball is played using a small round net and a yellow ball. Four players bounce the ball on the net between one another, defending their zones. If the ball hits the edge or they miss a bounce in their zone, that player rotates out. Last player standing wins.
